The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) received the “Best Booth” award at the Esri User Conference 2025, held in San Diego, United States, from 15 to 18 July 2025.
GEOSA earned this recognition for the distinction of its booth, which showcased the Kingdom’s ambitious Vision 2030 through its key pillars: deep-rooted heritage, robust investment power, and strategic geographic location. The booth also highlighted major national development projects that reflect the Kingdom’s accelerating and sustainable renaissance.
The booth also highlighted the Kingdom’s experience in building and developing the National Geospatial Infrastructure in alignment with Vision 2030, maximizing the impact of geospatial information in supporting and enabling various development sectors to achieve national objectives. It further showcased the Kingdom’s experience in establishing the governance of national geospatial data, formulating policies, standards, and specifications in line with international best practices. In addition, the booth presented the Kingdom’s achievements in building and enhancing national geospatial capabilities, raising awareness and knowledge in the
geospatial field, promoting geospatial research and innovation, and promoting the integration of geospatial information with modern technologies to support smart decision-making.
GEOSA’s booth also featured the participation of several government entities, which presented their initiatives, services, and products related to the Kingdom’s geospatial sector, reflecting constructive integration aimed at strengthening Saudi Arabia’s leadership and representation in international events and conferences.
Over the course of four days, the booth attracted significant attention from thought leaders, experts, geospatial specialists and professionals, and those who are interested in this field from around the world. It received wide acclaim for the Kingdom’s remarkable progress—achieved through the grace of God and the support of its wise leadership—which has reinforced its international leadership at both regional and international levels, strengthened its role in relevant international organizations and committees, and advanced its standing in global geospatial rankings and indicators, in addition to earning numerous international awards in the geospatial field.
It is worth noting that, in accordance with its mandate, the Authority’s mission is to regulate, develop, supervise, and monitor the Survey and Geospatial Information and Imaging Sector in the Kingdom. GEOSA is also entrusted with representing Saudi Arabia at national and international levels in its areas of competence, as well as coordinating and cooperating with its counterparts in other countries and with relevant international organizations and bodies.
