GEOSA Awarded ISO 20000-1:2018 Certification for Data Centre Systems and Procedures

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) has obtained the ISO 20000-1:2018 Certification for IT service Management for covering the systems and procedures of its Data Centre. This achievement reflects the Authority’s commitment to applying the highest international standards and best practices in IT service management.

The certification is a globally recognised standard for establishing an integrated framework for IT service management. It encompasses key areas such as improving the quality and efficiency of IT services provided to beneficiaries, strengthening business continuity and operational readiness of data centres, implementing governance controls and risk management measures, ensuring regulatory compliance, focusing on end-user satisfaction, enhancing the digital experience, and building measurable IT processes that support continuous improvement.

This accomplishment comes as part of the Authority’s ongoing efforts to develop its digital infrastructure and enhance the readiness of its data centres to support its strategic objectives in delivering high-efficiency and high-performance services. It aligns with global technological advancements and future requirements, while supports the Kingdom’s national goals for advancing digital transformation through reliable, secure and internationally compliant technical services.
