The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) is participating in the Esri User Conference 2025, held in San Diego, USA, from 15 to 18 July 2025.

GEOSA is showcasing its achievements through a dedicated booth, highlighting the Kingdom’s experience in building and developing the National Geospatial Infrastructure in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative seeks to maximize the impact of geospatial information in supporting and enabling diverse development sectors to achieve national objectives. This pioneering experience has positioned the Kingdom at the forefront of its peers regionally and globally in the geospatial field

The booth also highlights the Kingdom’s efforts in establishing the governance of national geospatial data, formulating policies, standards, and specifications in line with international best practices. In addition, it showcases Saudi Arabia’s work in building and strengthening national geospatial capabilities, raising geospatial awareness and knowledge, promoting geospatial research and innovation, and enhancing the integration of geospatial information with modern technologies to support smart decision-making.

During the conference’s opening ceremony, it was announced that GEOSA had received the 2025 Esri President’s Award. The award, presented annually to leading agencies and organizations that adopt geospatial technologies and smart solutions, recognized GEOSA for its pioneering development of the Saudi Geo-Hub—the Kingdom’s central platform for geospatial data integration and advanced decision-making tools that support comprehensive development. The Saudi Geo-Hub consolidates and analyzes geospatial data and presents it through interactive dashboards, dynamic maps, charts, and statistical insights. Its goal is to provide accurate and reliable information to decision-makers across vital sectors and national development domains.

It is worth noting that, in accordance with its mandate, the Authority’s mission is to regulate, develop, supervise, and monitor the Survey and Geospatial Information and Imaging Sector in the Kingdom. GEOSA is also entrusted with representing Saudi Arabia at national and international levels in its areas of competence, as well as coordinating and cooperating with its counterparts in other countries and with relevant international organizations and bodies.
