GEOSA Honors Recipients of Specialized Program Certifications and Celebrates Winner of the President Award for Knowledge Transfer

His excellency of the President of the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA), Dr. Eng. Mohammed bin Yahya Al Sayel, honored GEOSA’s employees who have obtained certifications from qualitative programs, during a ceremony that also recognized the project that won the "GEOSA's President Award for Knowledge Transfer”.

This recognition comes as part of GEOSA’s commitment to fostering institutional excellence, embedding a culture of continuous learning, and motivating national talent to pursue ongoing professional and knowledge development. The ceremony was organized by the Geospatial Knowledge and Innovation Sector.

Certificates of qualitative programs were also distributed to (68) of GEOSA employees during this event; In return for completing a number of advanced development paths. These included distinguished academic and professional programs, most notably: postgraduate studies programs, the National Defense University, the Geospatial Experts Program, the executive program “Innovation in a Regulatory Environment” from the University of California, Berkeley, and the Geospatial Artificial Intelligence Professional Program from MIT.

The recipients also included graduates of the Earth and Space Science institute at King Abdulaziz City, as well as recipients of the joint specialized program between Tuwaiq Academy and the General Authority of Civil Aviation for Remote Pilot License (Drone Operator) for non-recreational purposes.

The event also honored the project that won “GEOSA's President Award for Knowledge Transfer,” awarded to Eng. Mohammed bin Ali Al-Ghamdi from the Survey and Geospatial Activities Sector for his project titled “Sea Borne Hydrographic Survey Project for Saudi Marine Area from Ras Al Khair to Al Khafji Arabian Gulf HSP-18”, in appreciation of his efforts in enhancing the sharing of expertise within the institutional environment.

This recognition underscores GEOSA’s commitment to investing in human capital, enhancing the readiness of its workforce, and supporting their professional development across specialized fields within the geospatial sector. It further contributes to strengthening national capabilities and sustaining excellence and innovation within the workplace.
