Consolidating efforts concerning geographical names within the Kingdom, encompassing writing, spelling, orthography, and all elements pertinent to the establishment of a national standard, while also developing a comprehensive database for this purpose.
Considering the mandates of government entities stipulated in the laws, regulations, decisions, and instructions, the committee shall be the official reference for all matters related to existing or new geographical names in the Kingdom, to provide recommendations regarding them. It may seek assistance from individuals in the public and private sectors concerning geographical names.
