GEOSA and NHC Innovation Sign Cooperation Memorandum at LEAP25

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information "GEOSA" signed a memorandum of cooperation with NHC Innovation during the LEAP25 conference, held from February 9 to 12 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, under the theme "Into New Worlds."

The General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA) and NHC Innovation have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at strengthening integration in areas of mutual interest and enhancing the role of geospatial information in planning and implementing innovations related to real estate development.

The memorandum also seeks to advance the technological ecosystem in the fields of mobility and navigation. It includes the integration of the “Balady Maps” platform with the National Geospatial Platform, enabling it to benefit from the policies and regulations established by GEOSA; the utilization of the Saudi National Spatial Reference System (SANSRS) across all surveying works; and the empowerment of NHC Innovation to benefit from the products and services of the National Geodetic Infrastructure.

In addition, the memorandum supports compliance with national geospatial regulations, standards, and specifications; promotes the use of GeoAI (Geospatial Artificial Intelligence) in decision-support applications; and focuses on qualifying and training national talent in areas of shared interest.

Representing GEOSA at the signing ceremony was Eng. Talal Al-Shafie, Assistant President for the Surveying and Geospatial Business Sector, while Mr. Yasser Al-Obaidan, Chief Executive Officer of NHC Innovation, signed on behalf of his organization.

It is noteworthy that, under its regulatory mandate, GEOSA is responsible for developing and maintaining the National Geospatial Infrastructure, and for providing geospatial data to ensure the integrated use of information systems among relevant government entities. Meanwhile, NHC Innovation focuses on developing and operating digital real estate and municipal solutions, delivering integrated digital services and products that enhance efficiency, sustainability, and innovation across the sector.
